It's been an emotional past week for the family and friends of our dad, but we plan on giving him the celebratory send off he deserves and would want. Join us on Thursday December 7th at Tudor Hall, 6:30pm start. 3750 North Bowesville Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1V 1B8

Our father, Ed Laverty, was a man who was deeply passionate about sports and people. "The Godfather of Touch Football" lead the Ottawa Nepean Touch Football League to its 50th year of operation. He also presided over Touch Football Ontario for nearly a decade and helped launch Touch Football Canada.

He was an exceptional athlete who excelled at hockey, broomball and of course touch football. While he was always a threat as a receiver and defender in his earlier days, he’s better known as the savvy quarterback who created the infamous and widely adopted “overload offense”.

He was a special man, who would give you the shirt off his back. He was always quick to lend a helping hand and extend an open door to whoever needed it. He was a jokester, famous for his one liners and a loyal friend.

He was a community builder who brought thousands of people together to form lasting friendships. His selfless efforts were acknowledged in 2014 when he was inducted into the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame.

Most importantly, he was a loving husband to our mom Trudy and a dedicated father to both of us.

He’s an irreplaceable "One of a Kind" humble man and he is already missed beyond measure.

Please join us in celebrating a great man who left a legacy and imprint on our hearts that will continue to shape our lives forever.

Gordie & Tammy.

Indoor Registration 2017-18

The ONTFL offers several levels of Indoor football, including men's and coed divisions.

Our top two men's categories play on Thursday evenings. Sunday features our third ranked tier and a mixed division of competitive and recreational. Monday divisions will spill into Wednesday nights and feature our most recreational focused levels, along with a competitive one.

We have more open slots on Sunday evenings and will look to fill that first.

Coed will largely take place on Sunday's, sharing mixed times with men's teams. Coed was featured solely on Wednesday evenings last year and in the past, so expect the odd Wednesday schedule.

Returning and new teams please contact Gordie Laverty via gthemvp@hotmail.com.
