Indoor Schedule/Women's Indoor
Hey all, just letting you know that the Indoor schedules were sent to all team managers yesterday. With so many divisions and last minute entries, we're going to wait on posting entire schedules to avoid confusion with the sure to be errors that come with first drafts.
What I'll do for now is post starting times all week long, at least the day before each night of games (unless the schedule is up before that), just in case managers haven't reached every teammate.
Women's Indoor is on stand by as we continue to try for one more team. We can adjust the time slots for their usual Monday evening placement. Men's teams scheduled on Monday, please don't be offended if we have to make slight changes a little later in the season, as early Monday time slots have historically belonged to Women's football.
Once I verify start times for tomorrow night, I'll post them above this update, shouldn't be more than a ferw hours.

Need One More Team For Women's Indoor

ONTFL Thanks You!
On behalf of the ONTFL, I just want to thank all of the teams, players and coaches who came to our Banquet & Awards Night to cheer on our champions, pennant winners and individual award recipients this past weekend.
I'll have a full recap of the event, includng pictures from the entire season in the coming weeks. I have about 12 to 13 hours of footage to upload to youtube as well, including near full length championship games from every division, so stay tuned for that.
As I mentioned at the Banquet, I can't thank you all enough for sticking by us all these years. Ed is slowly tansitioning responsibility into my hands, and together we promise to deliver a far better product moving forward.
Next year is our 50th anniversary, and we'll do everything in our power to make it the best season yet, culminating with one hell of a party at next years banquet.

Ross Angus Wake & Funeral Infromation
Friends can pay respects at: Kelly's Funeral Home, 3000 Woodroffe Avenue, Barrhaven. Times are Monday 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:00pm.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday October 19 at 1:00 pm, at the Metropolitan Bible Church, 2176 Prince of Wales Drive (just south of Hunt Club Road)
In memory, donations can be made to the “Ross Angus Memorial Trust” for the benefit of his children
The ONTFL wishes to pay respect to one of its favourite sons who passed away yesterday. Ross Angus was more than just a player, he was a builder, highly responsible for bringing countless athletes into the ONTFL and Touch Football Ontario ranks.
Above all of his contributions, Ross will be missed more for his magnetic personality. Anyone who ever played with Ross knew how much he enjoyed the camaraderie that comes with organized sports. He was a great teammate, and an even better friend, father and husband.
Rest in peace Ross, you will be greatly missed.
The ONTFL will honour Ross at its banquet and awards night next month, creating a new category in his name which will pay respect to the unsung heroes of any given season, the team managers, a position Ross was unmatched in.
Coed Classic Reminder This Saturday (Oct 15)
This is just a reminder for our Coed CLassic. The schedule will be up tomorrow, so expect an email and a post on this page. Our small tribute to our lost brother, Ross Angus, will remain at the top of the page until after the banquet, so please get used to scrolling down for new information for the next few weeks.
Voting Meeting Tonight! (Sept 26)
This is just a reminder that our voting meeting is this evening, 7:30pm, at Carelton Heights Community Center (1665 Apeldoorn Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2C 1V6 (613) 226-2208 -- map here) This is an opportunity for all managers to make the case for their best players in a variety of categories, in hopes of earning them recognition and hardware at our banquet.
Congratulations to ONTFL and TFO Champions!
While we still have Senior and City championships to decide, the ONTFL would like to take this time to congratulate all division champions from this past weekend, and champions at the Provincial championships.
Ottawa represented magnificently at Touch Football Ontario's Trillium Cup, taking championships, and competing for them, in almost every division. Full results can be found here.
I just wanted to let everyone know that we now have plenty of content on our youtube channel from last season`s play-offs. As of this posting, I still have plenty more videos to upload, so please be patient as they come in (file sizes are massive).
The best news is that Youtube video length limits have been removed from our account, so in the future I`ll be able to add full length games. You can always click the youtube logo, which will be all over our site, or you can go to our multimedia section (left collumn) to find specific parts. I`ll improve naming conventions for this season`s offerings.

2011 Coed Championships/BBQ
Our year end Coed finals and BBQ will be this Sunday August the 20th, 12pm.Both Hunt Club fields will be in use throughout the day, and with all the food you can eat, it should be an excellent afternoon for family and friends. As always, there will be live entertainment, prizes and plenty of beverages, so even if you aren't playing, come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun. Please download the schedule below.

Kris Lajeunesse (of the Capitals) and Lise Raymond are hosting a Stag and Doe at the Cock 'n Bull, located at 3791 Richmond Rd (Bell's Corners). The event starts at 8pm, and there will be games and prizes (mostly booze)

ONTFL's 2010 Highlights is Online!
The 2010 season highlights film, initially featured at last years banquet and awards night, is now online for viewing, or download. Please view below, or follow the link from the homepage (www.ontfl.com) to vimeo, our hosting site, to download your own copy, however, it will always be available for quick streaming.

All of the footage that didn't make the highlight reel will be available for viewing on youtube shortly. There are several hours of high definition film, so please be patient as I upload the 15 minute clips youtube restricts. Eventually youtube will allow me to host longer videos, where we can add full length championship games to our library. There are lot's of goodies coming so stay tuned!

There's been some confusion about whether the fields are closed or not tonight, but we have verified that our ONTFL games are good to go, let's just try and be careful in extreme areas, if there are any.
